Northern Virginia health officials are preparing for another bad tick infestation season, especially for the blacklegged tick which can transmit Lyme disease , a debilitating affliction if not treated early enough.A Ticks normally become active in spring, but this year’s incredibly mild and dry winter has brought them out earlier than normal.
