Keep DC and Northern Virginia Homeowner’s Costs From Rising as Temperatures Drop – Before Your Federal Energy Efficiency Tax Credits Expire

We have had a very mild autumn in the Northern Virginia/DC-area, but with nighttime temperatures dropping to below 40 degrees and winter just around the corner, now’s the time to increase your home’s comfort and energy efficiency.

Energy efficient updates are a good investment any time of the year. However, as we approach December 2010, there are more measurable and meaningful reasons for DC-Metro and Northern Virginia homeowners to invest in energy efficient products – including vinyl replacement windows.

Take Advantage Now of the Federal Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit, here in Northern Virginia and the DC Metro region.

Come December 31, 2010, the Federal Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit will expire. If you purchase energy-efficient products for your home right now, such as replacement vinyl windows, and doors or siding, you may be eligible for a federal tax credit of 30 percent of the cost of the home improvement, up to $1,500.

Leaky windows and doors are the number one culprits driving up your energy bills – especially older wooden and aluminum windows that rust and warp. The solution … custom-fit and professionally installed DC or Northern Virginia vinyl replacement windows that will keep air and heat from leaking out.

When replacing your aluminum or wood windows, keep in mind the experience- level, commitment to quality, and service history of your localthe vinyl- window manufacturer. In the Metro Washington DC area, the Bouchery family, owners of the Vinyl-Lite Window Factory, have been serving the community for more than 60- years. Every window they manufacture is custom built with longevity and energy conservation in mind.

Over the long run, the cost of new vinyl windows will be paid back many times over in energy savings.

Thanks for the heads up – need to get moving before it gets too cold, and I lose the opp. for the tax credit..

Thanks, Dan – it turns out that orders and replacement window (or door) schedules are moving very quickly right now, this Fall, in anticipation of the tax credit program ending.
